Channels & Framed Glass
Framed glass with u-channel is the most common hardware for installing decorative glass. Also known as glass stops, rails, mullions, tracks, etc., this hardware captures the glass at the edge(s) with no holes required. Depending on the installation, glass can be captured at 1, 2, 3, or 4 sides using channel and extrusion hardware. With deep textures, Meltdown Glass will flatten the edges of the glass being captured. This treatment is called a 'channel stay' and essentially creates a perfectly flat margin on the glass edges so they fit cleanly into the channels being used.
